FAM Players' Status Comittee: Amirul belongs to JFA ABN News | Eng Posted: 27 Dec 2013 01:09 AM PST PETALING JAYA, Dec 27–The tussle for playmaker Mohd Amirul Hadi Zainal between the Pahang FA (PFA) and the Johor FA (JFA) has finally been resolved. The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Players' Status Committee ruled that the former international belongs to Johor FA after conducting a thorough investigation. Its Chairman Datuk Taikyuddin Hassan explained that the contract signed by Amirul with the JFA was binding although it had been claimed that the player had extended his contract with the Malaysia Cup holders for another two seasons. He said the committee had voted in favour of the JFA. "We've studied the documents submitted to us and listened to both parties from Pahang and Johor, and the player itself. This is the majority decision. We find the player's (Amirul Hadi Zainal) contract with the PFA as vague and not binding." Even so, Taikyuddin said Amirul Hadi will still be fined RM25,000 for failing to inform the JFA on the true terms of his contract which he signed with Pahang. He was also found guilty for failing to get the approval from Pahang before signing for Johor. The FAM Players' Status Committee made the decision under Article 2 Paragraph 5 (C1) of the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players under the FAM. |
